We’re extremely excited to announce that the wonderful Sarah Cracknell will be joining our line-up at this year’s Port Eliot.
As well as making consistently sublime music with Saint Etienne since their conception in 1990, Sarah released her debut solo album, Lipslide, in the spring of 1997 and now has a second one on the way. Red Kite, is out June 5th via Cherry Red and she will be taking it to the Caught by the River stage at Port Eliot. Speaking to Pitchfork, Sarah said, “We were drawn to records where the productions are properly out there; records where an odd instrument or noise sits right at the top of the mix and becomes the hook. I wanted to accentuate the wrong thing and try to stop people in their tracks.”
Resonance mainstay Jonny Trunk of Trunk Records also heads up our Port Eliot DJ line-up. For a taste of what to expect from him, check out the Trunk podcasts here
