At long last, we’ve cause to meet in a field. We’re over the moon to announce that we’ll be returning to Camp Good Life (the new iteration of The Good Life Experience) with a one-day lineup on Sunday 19 September.
Campers big and small can start the day listening to Melissa Harrison read from her children’s books By Ash, Oak and Thorn (recently published by Chicken House) and sequel By Rowan and Yew (due out in October).
Caught by the River stalwart Will Burns will read from his debut novel The Paper Lantern, and answer questions put to him by master of ceremonies John Andrews, and Baxter Dury will read from his forthcoming memoir Chaise Longue; an intimate disclosure of teenage life from the underbelly of rock ‘n’ roll.
Later on comes a special solo set from Boy Azooga main man Davey Newington.
The festival’s Friday and Saturday will see much action from our compadres at Heavenly, with sets from the great and good of their roster (including H. Hawkline, Katy J Pearson, The Orielles, audiobooks, Raf Rundell and Gwenno).
Though tickets for Camp Good Life have long sold out, the festival have been kind enough to hold a very limited number of weekend tickets back for our readers, which can be bought here. We’re also very pleased to say that Lunker-tier Caught by the River subscribers can cash in a 30% ticket discount — just check your email inbox for the code!
If you aren’t yet an official Caught by the River subscriber and would like to be, you can become one here, in return for perks like exclusive print media and discounted event tickets.
