Some current and upcoming happenings featuring field recordist extraordinaire Chris Watson:
On the Guardian‘s Science Weekly podcast, Chris explores the sonic environment of the ocean, celebrating the sounds and songs of marine life and investigating the threat of noise pollution. You can listen to the first episode here.
As part of the Serpentine Galleries’ multi-year General Ecology project, Chris will participate in The Shape of a Circle in the Mind of a Fish with Plants — a multi-media and multi-disciplinary day-long event dedicated to plant sentience, plant intelligence, communication with the vegetal world and forms of mysticism and healing. The event takes place at London’s EartH on 19 May. More info and tickets here.
And finally, a reminder that Chris will be presenting Surfing The Silver Tide – an extended soundscape following the dawn chorus from Shetland down to Cornwall – on our stage at this year’s Port Eliot Festival. You can see our stage lineup in its entirety here, where you will also find a link to tickets.
