We are pleased to announce that Holly Corfield Carr has been added to the lineup for our event at The Social, London, on 19 November.

Holly is a poet and writer based in Bristol and Cambridge, and is the author of three pamphlets: Subsong, Indifferent Cresses and Mine. Her writing is also published in magazines, artists’ books and has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and BBC Radio 4 as well as appearing on board a passenger ferry, an eighteenth-century crystal grotto, a floating island, in total darkness, Hackney, a museum, in a car park, by the river, libraries, former factories, public toilets, galleries and at dinner.

We first heard Holly read at our ‘Landfill’ event in Bristol last week (on the recommendation of one Tim Dee) and liked her so much that we couldn’t not ask her back for more.

Holly’s reading comes in addition to a screening of I A Stranger – a rarely-seen 1968 BBC Wales film about life in the West Walian mountains, to be introduced by Richard King – and a live, collaborative set from Jim Ghedi and Toby Hay.
