To mark Apple Day (launched by conservation charity Common Ground in 1990, and celebrating apples on 21 October ever since), some photos from Chris Hoare’s Growing Spaces: a photobook chronicle of urban land cultivation in Bristol. The project documents eleven sites across the city, from established allotment sites to community gardens and improvised plots on disused lands.
