This week, we’ve fallen head over heels for Ladybird’s beautifully rejuvenated What to Look for… series.
The original What for Look for… books, written by E.L. Grant Watson and illustrated by Charles Tunnicliffe — and of which we are big fans! — were published in the late 1950s and early 1960s, and explored the changes and exciting events that could be observed in nature during each of the four seasons.
Published 60 years after the first What to Look For… titles hit the bookshelves, Ladybird’s updated run of pocket-sized books — written by Elizabeth Jenner and illustrated by Natasha Durley — are simultaneously refreshed, and pleasingly faithful to the spirit of the originals.
All four titles (What to Look for in Spring; Summer; Autumn and Winter) are now enthusiastically stocked in our shop, each priced £5.99. We hope you’ll love them as much as we do.
