On Sunday 11 November, as part of Boiler Shop‘s ‘100 YEARS’ weekend (a weekend of music and performance to mark the 100 year anniversary of the Armistice), Chris Watson will premiere ‘A Nightingale on The Western Front’, a multichannel sound composition recorded in various sites of battles in Flanders. Chris will present this piece from 5am to 7.30am on the morning of Sunday 11 November on the Boiler Shop Mezzanine, Newcastle upon Tyne, for limited audience of around 80 people.
The sound piece will be followed by a complimentary continental breakfast, a Q&A session with Chris Watson hosted by Luke Turner from The Quietus (and these very pages); then a very special matinee show from Newcastle’s own Richard Dawson.
