5. THE CROWS
Brian David Stevens introduces shots from a series of photographs he took, over a period of 12 months, at Beachy Head:
They come out of the mist, flapping blackly, unafraid of the cliff edge, relishing in the drop and the uplift it brings.
They will lead you along the cliff path always one step ahead, allowing you to get close, but then taking off again to settle just out of reach. It’s a game we both seem to enjoy.
This is the path I walked countless times on the project, from the Beachy Head pub past the Belle Tout lighthouse, to Birling Gap and back again. Still familiar in my mind, I can just close my eyes to walk it again.
