In 2009, Port Eliot Festival was the first place Caught by the River’s appeared ‘offline’. From the very first line up (that included British Sea Power, King Creosote and Shack’s John Head), music has been at the very heart of things from morning ’til the last dancer drops.
This year is no different. The bill is expansive and wilfully eclectic, presenting everything from heavy psychedelia to after hours cosmic disco via jagged Scouse pop, Midwest (of Wales) country soul, English jazz and pre-rock’n’roll 78s. As a little musical guide for what to expect, we asked our resident DJs and a few of our guests to put together playlists of the kind of records they’ll be playing. Hope you enjoy.
