We’re pleased as punch that Dexter Petley, who’s been contributing to the site from the very start, has been longlisted for this year’s Wainwright Prize for his book Love Madness Fishing, which we released in conjunction with Little Toller last year.
The Wainwright Prize seeks to reward the best writing on the outdoors, nature and UK-based travel writing, and was won last year by none other than Amy Liptrot, also of this parish. Along with Love Madness Fishing, the prize’s longlist features Lucy Jones’s Foxes Unearthed, Chris Packham’s Fingers in the Sparkle Jar, and The Running Hare and Where Poppies Blow, both by John Lewis-Stempel. The shortlist will be announced on 27 June.
You can buy a copy of Love Madness Fishing here. We are also currently stocking a selection of the other books on the list here.
