Over the last couple of years, Bristol-based singer-songwriter Luke Sital-Singh has become increasingly interested in and inspired by the growing community of people in the UK who are reviving traditional craft techniques. This has resulted in a string of short films which Luke has made with various so-called ‘Slow Makers’ in their workshops up & down the country.
The first film in the run focuses on the creation of the artwork for Luke’s new album, Time Is A Riddle, (out today on Raygun Records / Red Essential) which was designed by lino cut printmaker and longstanding collaborator Hannah Cousins. Luke also sought out the skills of fellow Bristolians — and Caught by the River pals — The Letterpress Collective, to create a limited edition album print using traditional type settings and print making.
