Hi Jeff, after a long hiatus I’m currently working on some writing for the River Ure Project, if you’re happy to publish a picture or two in the mean-time I’d be more than pleased for you to do so. Here’s ‘Kilgram Summer’, a sketchbook page. Each year for my birthday, my wife buys me a rod on a stretch of the Ure, downstream from this old bridge. The bridge is thought to have been built by the monks of Jervaulx abbey and interestingly it stands on what remains of an even earlier, Roman crossing which can still be seen when the water runs clear.
