Stumbled across details of a really interesting sounding festival in Leigh on Sea next month – Shorelines: Literature Festival of the Sea. The line up features a fair few Caught by the River favourites including Robert Macfarlane, Iain Sinclair, Travis Elborough and Ken Worpole. Also of interest is the Public Record: Estuary poetry cycle written and produced by Justin Hopper This takes the form of ‘texts sampled from, and inspired by, 19th-century archival reports of sea disasters in the estuary along with period nature and travel-writing’.
