From Andy Childs:
There have been a couple of programmes on the radio in the last week that I imagine would be of interest to Caught by the River readers:
The first was an “essay” by Ralph Steadman, that was broadcast on Radio 3 last Friday, about Edward Lear’s art and in particular his bird drawings which inspired Steadman when he embarked on Ceri Levy’s ‘Ghost of Gone Birds’ project (Ceri gets a mention). Lovely stuff. Listen here.
The second was Sunday’s edition of ‘Bookclub’ on Radio 4 where Ross Raisin’s God’s Own Country was discussed by Raisin and audience members. Also very good. Listen here.
