The results of the Our Rivers awards are in and the winner of the public vote to find the nation’s favourite river is… The Wye. I’m sure everyone who has visited it has their personal reasons for choosing it, but we reckon the wildlife and the breathtaking scenery make it a magical place. The river voted worst in the country was The Thames – however it was also placed second favourite so people are clearly very passionate about its problems and its charms.
The results are now on the website at www.ourrivers.org.uk – and if you check back in a couple of days there will be a nice film on there which has been made about The Wye.
We’ve had thousands of people voting and got some great response to thanks very much to anyone at Caught by The River who voted!
